Summary of training:
General overview, finding what you need, accessing and interpreting reports, basic functions in Excel and basic connections to instruction. Topics may include:
- General system functions: Basic navigation, creating simple groups, N-settings.
- CSAP System: Locating and interpreting student reports and summary reports. Basic connections to instruction and interpretation resources. Basic Excel functions.
- NWEA System: NWEA summary reports for students and groups. Understanding the spreadsheets (including CSAP-aligned cut points)
- Literacy System: Building a basic foundation of literacy knowledge. How to build an ILP and use the Pikes Peak Literacy resources.

This is also a great time to update your school users to ensure participants can access the system the day of the training and upload a current student file to ensure that students move into their new grade level for school year 2008-09. Come learn and play with the two new latest and greatest systems in alpine! This session will focus specifically on the Plan Builder and Data Warehouse systems. Topics include:
- Plan Builder: Overview of preformatted plans. Creating and managing plans. Implementing plans.
- Data Warehouse: Overview of assessment compatibility. Undertstanding the system and functionality.

- General system functions: Basic navigation, creating simple groups, N-settings. Student groups and demographic groups. File Exchange. Creating your Current Students file.
- CSAP System: Locating and interpreting student reports and summary reports. Basic connections to instruction and interpretation resources. Basic & advanced Excel functions. Raising the bar with proficiency descriptors. Goal setting with CSAP data. Moving graphs to PPT.
- NWEA System: NWEA summary reports for students and groups. Understanding the spreadsheets (including CSAP-aligned cut points). Understanding the relationship between CSAP and NWEA scores. Interpretive resources on the NWEA website.
- Literacy System: Building a basic foundation of literacy knowledge. How to build an ILP and use the Pikes Peak Literacy resources. Defining tests in the body of evidence. Using the body of evidence to diagnose literacy problems. Combining data in the body of evidence to make the ILP decision
- Data Leadership: How does a school leader facilitate deeper learning about data for teachers?
