Description

The mission of James Irwin Charter High School is to help guide students in the development of their character and academic potential through academically rigorous, content-rich educational programs. The curriculum is focused on our great country’s Western Heritage with an emphasis on character education in each class including a required Character & Ethics course for all students. The JICHS experience includes a college preparatory emphasis, honors and AP courses, a competitive athletic program, effective, research-based teaching and a High Trust positive, solution-based learning environment. A full-time teacher coach is on campus to ensure faculty members are optimally performing for maximized student learning. JICHS continues to earn the John Irwin Schools of Excellence Award which annually recognizes the top performing schools in the state. James Irwin graduates on average 96% of its seniors with 92% of alumni attending a college or university.
