Founded in 1996, Summit Middle School is the first charter school in the Boulder Valley School District. The school has been honored with numerous awards, including designation as a National Blue Ribbon School. The current Principal, David Finell has been there for ten years.

Summit Middle Charter School is a multi-faceted; public school of choice that provides a rigorous, academic curriculum focused on students who want to be challenged and are willing to work hard.
