Job Description:

Our Mission:  Through a demanding education based on high standards, accountability, and structure, West Denver Preparatory Charter School prepares students in grades six through eight for educational success from middle school through college.

The Program Manager will work with students, families, teachers, administrators, and members of the community to ensure smooth operations and clear communications throughout the school community.  Excellent candidates will have high capacity with operational details, skills and awareness about efficient systems, and a willingness to do a wide variety of tasks quickly and effectively.  This is an administrative position with growth opportunities toward organizational leadership, particularly in an operational capacity.  Spanish proficiency preferred.

The Program Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer, in consultation with the School Principal.

Student Life - Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily student breaks, arrival, and dismissal.
  • Provide appropriate activities and ensure student safety during these times.
  • Manage student discipline.

Student Life - Performance Indicators may include:

  • Daily student breaks are safe, engaging, and run on schedule.
  • Student arrival and dismissal are orderly and efficient with minimal traffic disruption, even in inclement weather.
  • Program Manager is perceived by students as a respected administrator and discipline issues are handled consistently and appropriately.

Facility - Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide WDP students with a safe, effective learning environment.
  • Manage the day-to-day needs of the facility, including photocopiers.

Facility - Performance Indicators may include:

  • The school is clean, orderly and disruptions to the learning environment are resolved quickly.
  • Teacher supply needs are resolved quickly and appropriately.
  • Minor custodial & building repair issues are resolved quickly and appropriately.

Food Service - Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise food service program

Food Service - Performance Indicators may include:

  • Food Service is efficient for students; accurate records are kept.

Additional Program Implementation - Primary Responsibilities:

  • Organize and implement student rewards program.
  • Organize and track student uniform sales.
  • Supervise student library.

Additional Program Implementation - Performance Indicators may include:

  • Students receive purchased or rewarded materials promptly.
  • Library is well-organized, clean, and accessible to students.

This position will begin on July 16, 2012.  Compensation is competitive; the Office Manager is eligible to participate in the Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association (PERA).  West Denver Prep is an equal opportunity employer.
