JOB DESCRIPTION:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Responsible for leading TCA in accomplishing its Mission and Core Values. Performs all duties assigned by the TCA School Board.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to the TCA Board

RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Inspires all stakeholders toward achieving TCA’s Mission and Core Values
2. Leads TCA into a stabilizing phase of academic and administrative excellence
3. Plans for TCA’s future by ongoing analysis of TCA’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats and financial resources
4. Develops, staffs, and implements the appropriate organizational structure, objectives, policies, and procedures to consistently achieve TCA’s Mission and Core Values
5. Prioritizes resources to staff TCA’s Academic and Administrative infrastructure at the appropriate level and balance for the next five years of stabilization
6. Attracts and retains high performing staff to promote the success of TCA students
7. Leads via directive, persuasion, communication, motivation and personal example to ensure all stakeholders understand TCA’s Mission, Core Values, objectives, policies, procedures and are motivated to follow them
8. Defines and monitors metrics and controls that insure objectives will be achieved and policies and procedures are uniformly applied
9. Keeps the Board timely informed on all issues and information necessary to effective and efficient Board governance
10. Oversees TCA’s financial matters to ensure both short term excellence and long term viability
11. Develops effective communication to all TCA stakeholders, delivering a high level of customer service
12. Insures compliance with all laws and Charter requirements applicable to TCA’s operations
13. Serves as TCA spokesperson and representative to all stakeholders
14. Provides strong academic, administrative, and operational leadership
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Serves as TCA interface with CDE, D20, and other governmental and professional organizations
• Manages the hiring process and effective performance appraisals of staff reporting directly to the President
• Ensures resource allocation is prioritized, monitored and focused on TCA’s Mission and Core Values
• Ensures corrective actions to short comings are undertaken in a timely manner.
• Develops, maintains, and implements short term and long term improvement plans
• Oversees fund raising for TCA
• Performs other duties as required by the Board
EXPERIENCE:
Ten or more years experience and demonstrated performance excellence as an organizational CEO with more than $5M annual budget desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Exceptional communication, persuasion, and morale building skills
• Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and listening skills
• Strong organizational and team building abilities
• Able to quickly acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of TCA’s Charter and laws, policies, and procedures governing TCA’s operations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with The Classical Academy Board, TCA Staff, D20, CDE and accrediting bodies.
