    Human Capital Manager
    Our Mission:  Through a demanding education based on high standards, accountability, and structure, West Denver Preparatory Charter School prepares students in grades six through eight for educational success from middle school through college.

    West Denver Preparatory Charter School, a successful charter school network of two Denver schools serving predominantly low-income students of color, will operate four middle school campuses in the 2010-2011 school year serving approximately 780 students.  West Denver Prep seeks to build upon strong academic student progress, intense community demand, strong school leadership and capacity, and a clear vision for urban school reform.

    The Human Capital Manager is responsible for the day-to-day recruiting and hiring operations of the West Denver Prep network.  Qualified candidates will demonstrate excellent networking skills, shrewd judgment of character, and high reliability and professionalism.  The Human Capital Manager is hired and evaluated by the Head of School.

     

    Primary Responsibilities

    Performance Indicators may include:

    Recruiting & Hiring

    ·         All teacher and administrator recruiting functions, including job postings and development of network relationships.

    ·         Receive, screen, and track all resumes.

    ·         Phone screen strong candidates in consultation with the HOS.

    ·         Excellent national and local relationships provide ample source of qualified candidates for each open position.

    ·         The organization speaks with an average of two candidates for each opening and reads resumes from twenty.

    ·         Candidates receive prompt responses and professional treatment throughout their process.

    Additional Administrative Duties

    ·         Assist the HOS and DFO with systematization of network-wide processes, especially including those related to human resources.

    ·         Assist other central office employees, especially the High School Placement Coordinator, with additional duties as needed.

    ·         The four-school West Denver Prep network functions efficiently and effectively with back-office systems that support student learning.

    The Human Capital Manager will begin work July 13, though resumes will be considered immediately.  Compensation is highly competitive; the Human Capital Manager is eligible to participate in the Denver Public Schools Retirement System.  West Denver Prep is an equal opportunity employer.
