    About DHPH
    The mission of Dolores Huerta Preparatory High is t provide an advanced and accelerated educational program in which students may achieve a two-year college degree along with their high school diploma, in a challenging and supportive learning environment.
     
    DHPH is a tuition-free public charter school, held to the highest national and state standards of education and is highly accountable to the state and community.
     
    About the position
    The Principal of Dolores Huerta Preparatory High provides administrative and instructional leadership to support the school’s mission. The Principal takes the lead role in promoting the school culture in which exceptional teaching and student achievement is the norm.  The Principal reports to the DHPH Board of Directors and manages all affairs of the school in compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements.. 
    The High School Principal is responsible for developing, implementing, marketing, and administering programs which strengthen the relationship between Dolores Huerta Preparatory High School, Cesar Chavez Academy, college partners, and the representative members of the school community; students, and parents. This position will create an exemplary secondary educational model with the capacity to be replicable as part of the DHPH vision.

    ● 220 day contract  ● Salary commensurate with experience  ● Benefits package includes: Health, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Sick time,  PERA, 403(B) and 401(k)
     
    Qualifications
    ●Comprehensive knowledge of data-based decision making processes
    ●A working knowledge of secondary education, small school reform, and the Early College Program.
    ●Demonstrated compassion for and high expectations of all students.
    ●Knowledge of existing and innovative educational models with the ability to articulate and effectively implement his/her philosophy.
    ●Demonstrated experience in creating positive, productive, partnerships between teachers, students and parents.
    ●Demonstrated autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility & cooperation in performing job responsibilities
    ●Current valid secondary teaching credential
    ●Current valid Colorado Principal License
