    Job Description:

    Community Leadership Academy (CLA), in Commerce City, Colorado, is seeking an Executive Director. The Executive Director in partnership with the Board of Directors is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and goals. Day-to-Day responsibilities include board relations, business & financial administration, safety, curriculum, discipline, staff development, and leadership.

    The salary range is $72,000.00 - $79,000.00 with medical benefits. Full-time – 250 days.

    CLA is a public K-8 charter school serving 500 students with 84% considered at-risk. CLA’s academic program includes Core Knowledge, Success for All Reading, Real Math, Saxon Math, RIGGS, Shurley English and Quantum Learning.

    Qualifications:
     Ability to successfully navigate complex challenges of a multimillion dollar organization
     Ability to lead, inspire, build, and develop large diverse staff both in the short and long term
     Ability to understand and strategize regarding state and national trends in education
     Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate Instructional curricula
     Familiarity with CLA’s charter, full agreement of the school’s educational philosophy and the school’s mission and vision
     Superior written and oral communication skills
     Exemplary human relation skills
     Ability to accurately evaluate instructional staff and develop training plans
     Possess extensive knowledge about effective curricular practices
     Provide conceptual guidance regarding effective classroom practices
     Ability to manage processes, procedures, and protocols of CLA organizational structure
     Possess the knowledge to contextually identify staff needs and provide necessary resources in a timely manner
     Familiarity with compliance of applicable laws, governing documents and the charter contract
     Advanced degree in education and/or business
     Understanding of demographics and diversity of stakeholders
     Two or more years experience as an administrator in a public school, private school, or non-profit or a position with equivalent responsibilities
     Knowledge of the operation of a charter school
