Responsibilities:
The Academy, a charter school in Westminster, is seeking a full-time Classroom Paraprofessional for grades 7 – 12 to supervise Study Hall classes.  1 – 3 years experience working with high school age children is preferred.  Also includes clerical duties for teachers.  Must meet the No Child Left Behind Requirements, which are: AA or 2 year college degree, OR, completion of 48 college semester hours, OR passing of the State CDE approved paraprofessional examination.  First Aid certification and Safety Training will be required within 30 days of entering position.

Starts as soon as possible, ends May 26, 2011

Experience is accepted year for year, up to ten years.  Responsibility to verify experience rests with employee. 

Hourly Rate: 
$9.00 - $12.81 per hour
Schedule: 
7.5 hours per day, only student contact days (169 maximum)
   Work hours are 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Description

The Academy of Charter Schools, is an Adams 12 Five Star School. The Academy offers classes that stress academics through and the use of Hirsch's Core Knowledge Curriculum (K-8), Saxon Math, and phonics.
