    “Focus on High-Quality Leadership and Governance”

    The Colorado League of Charter Schools (the League) offers a variety of governance training packages.

    The League's governance training packages are designed to address key issues related to charter school governance, and to support effective leadership and organizational planning. The League is available to conduct a no-cost needs assessment to help member schools choose the training package that best meets their needs. The League can also customize any of the packages below to best meet the needs of an individual charter school.

    Cost of professional service packages:

    Half Day: $550.00 | Full Day $900.00
    (Costs may vary based on products and/or services provided)

    Good Governance Guidance
    Do you conduct an annual board self-evaluation? The end of the year is a great time to see how you are doing as a charter school board and plan for your next steps toward good governance.  Not sure where to start? Take some time at the next board meeting and Rate your Governing Board.

    Training Opportunities

    Colorado Charter School Board Retreat, October 22-23, 2010 SAVE THE DATE!!
    Breckenridge, Colorado
    Join us for a two-day event designed exclusively for charter school governing board members. The event includes a day of multiple breakout sessions on charter school issues. The second day includes dedicated time for individual school boards to work with a facilitator on specific issues identified prior to the retreat. There is also time for networking with other governing board members and team building with your own board.  Registration will open in June 2010.

    Online Governing Board Training Modules
    Test your knowledge! Check out the online charter school governing board training modules. These governing board modules cover 30 topics and are a great training resource available to you on your own time. The login and password feature allows you to track your progress. Finish all of the modules and earn a certificate of completion.  This is a great summer activity for your whole board!
