Charter schools strive to promote student progress towards college and career readiness. The Colorado League of Charter Schools’ (“the League’s”) Research and Evaluation team assists member schools and their authorizers in understanding the ever evolving accountability landscape, setting goals, and measuring results. League members use this data for programmatic improvement, resulting in high-quality public charter schools for children. The League also provides trainings related to the use of data and help in navigating accountability models at state and federal levels.
The League maintains an active research agenda that informs school leaders, parents, students, authorizers, and the general public about charter school performance and impact in Colorado. In addition, the League assists in conducting national level research informing best practices and analyzing new methods of assessing student performance.
The League works with staff, board members and authorizers of member charter schools to help them navigate the complex accountability environment in Colorado. The League helps guide them on the path to meeting both internal (school improvement) and external (public information and oversight) accountability needs.
The League offers its member schools assistance in the review and preparation of important documents such as renewal applications and contracts, performance reports, and the Unified Improvement Plan Template.
The League offers data analysis expertise to help member schools systematically generate and manage information about their strengths and challenges for the purposes of evaluation, improvement and accountability. The following are a few of the services that the League’s Research and Evaluation team offers to schools.
